Q: "I just noticed something on the My Challenges page: I finished the Active May badge on 13th May, but still the Predicted Finish Date shows 2024-05-22. Maybe it's a bug?"
A: "I made it simple for myself and put the end date to today's date so it moves one day each day. I think I couldn't see the real end date for completed challenges when I implemented that function."

Calculate finish date for expeditions.

Use the userJoined flag to see what expeditions/challenges the user has joined.
I can probably change the function "fetchBadgesFromGarmin" in the extension to only use the badgechallenge-service to get the data.
Return the uuids that should be fetched.
Create new methods to not stop the old code for users that haven't updated yet.

The expedition/Challenge Id is the same as BadgeUuid (uuid in the DB).

Ex. Denali got uuid: E40D57A63B7C49C7B39B725A0189949B

The data is available in the standard call:

That means that it is probably pretty easy to all fetch that expedition progress.

How should it be displayed?
Showing the expedition data in the challenge table is pointless since most values will be incorrect.
There must be a new table. Start by adding it to a new page and maybe later add the new expedition table to the challenge page.

Not everyone is ok with submitting their Garmin Connect login credentials even though I don't store them.

Create alternate ways for submitting data:
Bash
Powershell

That can also be a way for my users to automate the submitting of data.

The parser for earned data accepts POST data. POST variables are "username", "email" and "earned".

Download script.
Run it.
Enter Garmin Connect login credentials and store them locally.
Script login to GC and fetches the earned data.
It will then post it to the parser.php page.

The user can inspect the script and see that it doesn't do anything odd with the login credentials.

"I think I will have to create two calendars.
One with the ordinary badges that are available on certain days like Halloween, New Year's Eve, Dragon boat festival etc.
And one calendar with the badge challenges since many of the challenges are available for the full month and that would fill the calendar with whole day events. I book that in my private calendar and it is hard to see my other meetings with all those full day badge challenges.
The first calendar will probably always be on and one with the challenges will be switched on and off from time to time."

It doesn't work that good today. When the badges are filtered the level changes. There must be a level saved per user.

Add possibility to hide the Avengers/Star Wars badges.

Add possibility to hide any badges.
Turn on edit mode and let user click on badges to hide/show.
The should also be a clear all/select all button.

Suggested GUI implementation:
Add a "Hide" button in the badge overlay. When clicked show popup with info:
"This badge will be hidden after you reload the main page. You can always show all hidden badges when ever you like to see them and change this setting again. A new button will be displayed when you have hidden badges."

Add a "Show all hidden" button in the main page if any badges are hidden.
